Why a Pet Blanket Should Be Pretty

Most of us gave up on a spotless sofa the day the dog arrived. We didn't want to give up on a lovely room as well.

Where it started

For years, the blanket on our sofa was an old grey fleece: practical, fur-covered and, frankly, a bit sad. It protected the cushions, but it was the first thing we hid when friends came round. Larchsong began with a simple question: why can't the dog's blanket be the nicest thing in the room?

What we make

Plush printed blankets in three sizes, designed first for your home and second for your pet. Every print is chosen the way you would choose a cushion or a throw: woodland scenes with foxes and larch trees, soft cottage-garden florals, warm plaids and cheerful folk patterns. A few hide tiny paw prints for those who look closely.

The name

Larch trees are the rebels of the forest. They are conifers, yet every autumn they glow gold and let their needles fall, then grow them back soft and green in spring. A larch wood in October is one of the quietest, warmest places we know. Larchsong is our small tribute to that feeling of settling in for a cosy season.
